The HR Analyst within the Administrative Support Center (ASC) partners with Extension units and leadership to support strategic workforce planning, recruitment coordination, and HR operations. This role collaborates closely with hiring managers, finance partners, and central HR teams to ensure positions are aligned with organizational needs, recruitments are effective and compliant, and HR data and processes support informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner with unit leadership and finance partners on workforce planning and position management, including advising on position descriptions and classification.
• Coordinate and support recruitments for assigned departments, including preparing search committees, assisting with interview planning, and collaborating with Talent Acquisition on sourcing strategies.
• Ensure recruitment and HR processes comply with applicable federal and state laws, as well as university and KBOR policies.
• Monitor and maintain accurate HR data in HRIS systems and assist with reporting and data analysis for leadership.
• Provide guidance and oversight to HR Representatives, including work coordination, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Support employee lifecycle processes, including hiring, onboarding, and offboarding, and complete HR transactions as needed.
• Collaborate with HR colleagues to maintain consistent processes and service standards across the Administrative Services Center.

The division includes approximately 50 professionals delivering strategic and operational HR services to the campus community. Key functional areas include ASC-HR, Benefits, Compensation and Organizational Effectiveness, Employee Relations and Engagement, ERP Systems, Resource Center Operations, Talent Acquisition, Talent and Organizational Development, and Time and Leave. Together, these teams partner with campus units to provide responsive HR support, enhance organizational effectiveness, and help attract, develop, and retain a talented workforce.
This position is Hybrid eligible. This position is hybrid eligible; however, the first 90 days are required to be 100% on-site. After that period, hybrid eligibility may be granted based on individual performance, with a requirement of three days on-site.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and five years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of work experience and education.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to learn quickly, determine priorities, take initiative, and work independently.
• Computer proficiency/ability to learn new systems. This position uses Microsoft Office Suite and K-State systems such as PageUp and HRIS.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated ability in performing highly detailed tasks.
• Experience with employee recruitment.
• Experience with K-State HR processes and paperwork.
• Experience responding to needs and requests of a wide range of clients in a friendly and effective manner.
• Previous supervisory experience.
