About This Role

Serve as experienced/seasoned advisor, Designated School Official for F-1 Student Program and Alternate Responsible Officer for J-1 Exchange Visitor Program; Utilize extensive knowledge of electronic systems and databases used for workflow and record keeping; oversee areas of department programming for students and scholars and conduct campus outreach including serve as liaison to on- and off-campus entities; and other duties as assigned.

Worksite Description

This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and seven years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of work experience and education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
  • Extensive and in-depth knowledge related to advising international students (F-1 & J-1) and scholars (J-1 exchange visitors, H-1B and other visa categories.
  • Extensive experience as user with electronic systems and databases used for workflow and record keeping.

Additional Role Information:

  • Must be U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident per federal regulations.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
