About This Role

The Office Specialist IV serves as the office manager and receptionist for the Office of the President and provides administrative support for both the Office of the President and Office of the Provost. The position greets visitors to the President’s Office, prioritizes interactions for follow-up and ensures follow-through with stakeholder communications. The incumbent manages the office, ensures efficient day-to-day functioning and is relied upon to provide support for projects and events for the President and Provost Offices, as requested. This position reports to the senior advisor.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires 3 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact courteously and professionally with all levels of university stakeholders
  • Strong customer service orientation and commitment to the University’s inclusive mission, with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, with a proven ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through with the ability to support special projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to exercise professionalism, discretion and integrity, especially pertaining to confidential matters
  • Deep knowledge of the K-State organizational structure

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range
