About This Role

The Project Coordinator provides executive support to the Associate Dean and is responsible for managing projects and activities related to Course Scheduling, Scholarship Awards, International Programs, and other projects as determined by the Associate Dean. The responsibilities of the Project Coordinator are expected to be complex and varied and will respond to the evolving needs of the programs and the College of Architecture, Planning and Design.

The College of Architecture, Planning and Design (APDesign) consists of students, faculty and alumni across all disciplines, united by a shared passion for design. We offer a variety of programs in the architecture, community development, design and planning fields. Our programs teach students to collaborate with their peers, constantly try new approaches to problems and redefine the traditional boundaries of design. Our faculty and students are leaders and award-winners, representing APDesign and K-State across the nation.

Worksite Description

This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and four years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of work experience and education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work on complex, multifaceted projects. Ability to make independent decisions, multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong interpersonal and team work skills and ability to work with diverse groups. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel. Five years of progressively responsible experience in a related area within higher education. Knowledge of and affinity for design and planning professions is helpful.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
