About This Role

The 4-H Military Partnership Outreach and Support Project (4-HMPOS), within the College of Health and Human Sciences, is seeking a Project Coordinator to join their team. This position will assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating the goals and objectives of the project as well as supporting the project’s communication, reporting, and dissemination efforts. This position reports to the Project Director.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Arrange in-person and virtual meetings, including contracting for event space, meals, lodging, and travel for participants
  • Assist with supporting meetings, training events, and conferences by helping develop the training plan/agenda, surveys, and evaluation forms
  • Create data files and compile descriptive statistics
  • Manage websites and social media accounts, post content, and maintain resources made available for project partners and the military-connected communities served
  • Support the development of 4-HMPOS marketing and educational materials, including the design and layout of communication materials such as program reports
  • Enhance the visibility of the 4-HMPOS and effectively engage stakeholders
  • Support the development, dissemination, and tracking of campaigns related to and supporting the 4-HMPOS
  • As assigned, serve as a liaison between the 4-HMPOS and military and land-grant university partners, as well as national work groups, committees, and initiatives

Worksite Description

This position is hybrid eligible.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree OR education equivalency of four years of relevant experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must hold a valid passport and have the ability to travel in and out of the United States
  • Must hold a valid driver's license, be able to operate a rental car, and not have a criminal record that would bar entry into a US military installation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4-5 years of experience in project coordination and event planning
  • Understanding of Military Child and Youth Programs
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to analyze, interpret, and develop work plans based on data and feedback
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to prioritize workload with minimal supervision
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and MS Teams), internet search engines, email, electronic calendars, and project management and marketing software
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Reliable and adaptable team player dedicated to achieving both personal and organizational objectives
  • Prompt and professional response to all requests
  • Ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential information and materials
