This position solicits bids and issues orders and contracts on behalf of University departments in keeping with Federal, State and University purchasing procedures, processes all Simplified Solicitations and Waivers of Solicitations as assigned.

In this position, you'll collaborate with departments to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, all while adhering to university policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase orders and manage vendor relations.
  • Review and evaluate procurement requests to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with contract administration and bid preparation.
  • Support initiatives that enhance efficiency and cost savings.

Worksite Option

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree and two to three years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in state and research purchasing policies and procedures
  • Prior purchasing experience in a higher education institution
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Experience using workflow software
  • Critical thinking, self-regulation, discipline and consistency in productivity are key factors in this role

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range
