About This Role

Laboratory work related but not limited to eukaryotic cell culture, virus culture, generation and maintenance of primary cells. This position requires work in a BSL-3 containment facility and work with laboratory animals. Application of reverse genetics requires a variety of molecular biology techniques, such as PCR, cloning and DNA sequencing. General laboratory tasks include making buffers, media and maintaining inventories for biological materials.

Worksite Description

This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree
• Strong data entry, time management and organizational skills
• Experience in cell/virus culture
• Experience in high-containment work (BSL-3)
• Experience in transcriptomics
• Experience in animal experimentation

Sponsorship eligibility:

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
