About This Role

Kansas State University's Aerospace and Technology Campus in Salina seeks a dedicated Storeroom Manager to coordinate the acquisition of all aircraft parts, oil, and consumable materials for the Aviation training fleet. This important position monitors shipments and backorders, inspects and logs parts and materials received, and ensures correct pricing. The Storeroom Manager is directly responsible for the control, maintenance, and processing of articles and materials through the Repair Station.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma and three years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in a Business-related field preferred
  • One year of experience in procuring commodities and services which includes preparing order specifications, estimates, bids, contracts and awarding contracts.
  • Knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills

Other Requirements:

  • Valid Drivers License required upon employment
  • Work requires considerable physical exertion to transport up to 50-pound objects
  • Work requires transportation of a vehicle for delivery and pickup of supplies, parts, and equipment

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
