In this role you will assist with design and delivery of technical assistance services to Tribal Nations and entities nation wide who are revitalizing their communities by redeveloping environmentally distressed properties known as brownfields. You will work with Tribal TAB Program directors, managers, and other TAB Program staff to implement plans and facilitate strategies for subject areas such as Storytelling, Tribal Response Programs, Integrated approaches, and Planning/Financing. In this role, you will contribute to i) capacity building activities and tools, ii) educational programming, iii) one-on-one work with communities, and iv) evaluation of community- and program-level accomplishments. This position will organize, plan, and support Tribal community building projects. This position also serves the larger purpose of the Center, which is to conduct research, education, and service pertaining to environmental topics, where a reputable, neutral organization is needed to develop technically sound, consensus-based solutions for groups of stakeholders.
The Center for Hazardous Substance Research is a storied, multidisciplinary, and ever-evolving organization within the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering at Kansas State University who's mission is to conduct research, education, and service for advancing ecological, social, and economic sustainability toward a more healthy, safe, and vibrant society.
This position is remote. There are periodic activities on campus for planning, team building, and retreat events as needed.
