About This Role:

Multiple tenure-track positions in computer science at all levels (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) starting in Fall 2019. Outstanding candidates will be considered for open endowed positions. The department is accepting applications in areas intersecting our core focus areas: cybersecurity, high-assurance software engineering, cyber-physical systems, and data science.

The CS department offers a stimulating environment for research and teaching. It has several ongoing collaborative projects involving researchers in different areas of computer science as well as physics, psychology, anthropology, and other engineering and science departments. The department offers BS, MS, and Ph.D. degrees, has a faculty of 22, and has approximately 50 PhD, 35 MS, and 550 undergraduate students. The department recently moved into a new state-of-the-art facility in the College of Engineering complex (http://www.engg.ksu.edu/engineering-hall/) that offers modern facilities supporting research, teaching, high-performance networking, and supercomputing. The department has classrooms dedicated to multimedia and collaborative study, several laboratories supporting cybersecurity, high-assurance systems, cyber-physical systems, and data science. The College of Engineering has undergone rapid expansion and is in the processing of hiring 35 additional faculty over a five year period. Kansas State is also home to the Biosecurity Research Institute and is the site of the new National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility. Preferred Qualifications:

  • A doctorate degree in computer science or related disciplines with a commitment to both teaching and research.

Other Requirements:
