About This Role:

A postdoctoral position is available in Dr. Takashi Ito’s lab. We are looking for a candidate to be involved in the preparation/characterization of nanoporous materials, and the quantitative evaluation of intermolecular interactions using spectroscopic and electrochemical methods. What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry
  • Experimental research in spectrometric investigations of (broadly-defined) supramolecular chemistry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electrochemistry research and/or the preparation, surface functionalization and characterization of naoporous materials

Duties and Responsiblities:

  • Plan and conduct experiments that aim to develop innovative water purification membranes and electrochemical sensors.
  • Analyze data collected and summarize results for research articles. Present findings at professional meetings.
  • Maintain research labs by keeping laboratory instruments in working condition and ensuring laboratory material is available. Train students in how to perform spectrometric investigations.
