This position is for a Post-Doctoral fellow to conduct independent research as part of a newly established research team at K-State (Souza-Neto Lab). This position focuses primarily on studying the interplay between host/vector-virus-microbiome in agricultural and zoonotic arboviruses. The selected candidate will engage in research activities encompassing a wide repertoire of modern technologies including WGS, RNA-seq, 16S microbiomics, gene silencing and genome editing to identify target genes and microbes important for virus infection/transmission that could be further used to the development of countermeasure tools to such diseases. This position is part of multidisciplinary and collaborative activities that will require engagement with collaborators within and outside the college, including USDA, and requires dedication to activities related to insect vectors (mosquito) rearing and manipulation, and eventual support to animal. This position is part of multidisciplinary and collaborative activities that will require engagement with collaborators within and outside the college, including USDA, and requires dedication to activities related to insect vectors (mosquito) rearing and manipulation, and eventual support to animal. Duties would include planning and conducting experiments; writing and editing manuscripts/articles; establishing procedures and techniques; and provide educational guidance to students. The position requires the individual to display critical thinking and independent judgement as it relates to ongoing and new molecular, viral, host and vector research with direct guidance from the Principal Investigator.

As a vital Office of the Registrar (REG) member, the Registrar Data and Process Coordinator will report directly to the University Registrar. In this role, they will work closely and collaboratively with various units within REG, providing support as needed to internal business processes and functions. Their primary focus will be supporting existing business processes related to REG, re-designing and streamlining them where appropriate, and updating/creating new business processes if necessary. This position will also enhance all requirements processes, particularly those involving new processes, reports, requirements, courses, and programs. They will review best practices across peer institutions and recommend new structured frameworks, addressing inefficiencies and ambiguities around current SIS processes and reporting needs.

The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking Health Information Specialists to join our dedicated team to help facilitate exemplary patient care and quality customer service. While there are many responsibilities of someone in this role, this position is primarily responsible for assisting in the management of all medical records for the VHC. This position provides real-time auditing services, from standard daytime hours to afterhours and evenings, ensuring that all necessary information is present and accurate. This position will also serve as primary support for the hospital information system, Instinct, assisting students and staff as help and training are needed. Working hours for Health Information Specialists will include three evenings a week and rotating weekends. Excellent communication and organization skills are utilized daily as this position.

The Office of the Registrar seeks an Assistant Registrar of Student Services. This position is responsible for the daily management of the student services unit within the office, in partnership with the student services manager. The unit is responsible for items such as enrollment and degree verification, graduation, transcripts, enrollment functions, waivers, athletic compliance, commencement, academic standing, and tuition waivers. Successful candidates will possess experience in analyzing business processes; interpreting and implementing institutional policies; and providing high-quality service to students, faculty/staff, parents, alumni, and other outside constituents and agencies. Additionally, this position is responsible for residency reclassification reviews for continuous students at the university. This position will lead key system implementations for student services, including managing system/software upgrades within the student information system, imaging systems, and other educational technology systems.
