The K-State College of Education seeks applicants for an accountant I.  The position will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, including but not limited to preparing and processing payments, posting expenses, reconciling accounts, and preparing monthly financial reports.

Worksite Options:

This position is eligible for hybrid worksite. Work is performed partially remote and partially on employer premises or designated assignment location. This role is expected to work on-site approximately two days a week.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma and one year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in accounting work.
  • Experience using QuickBooks online.
  • Familiarity with the State of Kansas and Kansas State University policies and procedures.
  • The ability to work within a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Strong time-management skills.

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
