About This Role

The Kansas State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory and Department of Diagnostic Medicine/Pathobiology, College of Veterinary Medicine, Kansas State University seeks an Animal Medical Technologist. This position will perform tests in the Clinical Pathology Laboratory; perform clinical analyzes on animal body fluids and tissues, interpret and report results, and maintain the quality system through document reviews, trend analysis for all tests as well as corrective action reports and ensuring the quality of test results. The expectation is to have flexible work hours when demand/program requires it and a responsibility to our Quality Program.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree. Various licensure is required; exact licensure is dependent upon job duties assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's of Science. Two years of experience in a laboratory with automated and some manual procedures.

Other Requirements:

  • Basic computer skills including databases, spreadsheets, word processing and data entry
    Excellent written and oral, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
