About This Role

The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking an Animal Technician I to join our dedicated team to help facilitate exemplary patient care and quality customer service. This position supports the routine and specialized care of hospitalized animals in the Veterinary Health Center at Kansas State University by maintaining and ensuring a sanitary and safe environment for patients, faculty, staff, students, and visitors. At the discretion of clinicians and clinical staff, this position will tend to the feeding and general welfare of VHC clients. This position is responsible for the cleaning and disinfecting of large animal areas and equipment of the hospital. Ensure the large animal facilities meet federal, state, and VHC standards for cleanliness and sanitation. Working hours for this position will include Monday-Friday, 12:00am-8:00am.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with large animals
  • One year of relevant experience
  • High school diploma

Sponsorship eligibility:

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
