About This Role:

This position exists to purchase product, oversee the delivery and stocking of product, ensure safe food handling processes are followed, complete research as needed, supervise student staff.

Job responsibilities consist of but are not limited to:

•        Purchase/Schedule product deliveries

•        Maintain relationships with food vendors, including the regional

          food bank

•        Lead product intake and stocking

•        Schedule/Facilitate repacking events

•        Collaborate and communicate with KSU Parking Services to

          enforce parking policy and block lot for scheduled bulk deliveries

•        Develop and refine safe food handling processes

•        Practice, promote, and enforce safe food handling, sanitary

          practices, proper storage, documentation, and product rotation

•        Facilitate and document regular cleaning/sanitization,

          maintenance/repair of equipment

•        Prioritize, develop, and facilitate waste reduction efforts

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma and two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServSafe Manager certified
  • Relevant experience managing individuals, groups and volunteers
  • Relevant experience involving food procurement and/or management

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
  • Exceptional spatial organization and problem solving skills
  • Ability to identify and promote the development needs of students
  • Interest in developing student success programing related to food security
  • Interest in hunger, sustainability and food justice issues
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to set own schedule and complete responsibilities
  • Experience maintaining a collaborative working environment
