About This Role

The communications and marketing specialist is responsible for developing and distributing digital content in an effort to market the college’s products, programs, and projects to prospective students and other external stakeholders. This position will create written and visual content for college, department, unit and research websites. As part of the Engineering Communications team, this position also collaborates with others in the college and university to achieve brand consistency, coordinate messaging and facilitate digital accessibility implementation.

This position supports a special project in the college and is anticipated to end in April 2026.

Worksite Description

This position is Hybrid and/or Remote eligible. The employee will be expected to attend trainings and meetings virtually, remote work will be assessed every six months, and a remote work agreement must be maintained for the duration of hybrid/remote work.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years’ experience in creating website content
  • Proficiency with website content management platforms such as OmniUpdate/Modern Campus
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills with word processing and spreadsheets
  • Excellent aesthetic judgment

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
