About This Role

The Graduate School is seeking a part-time event coordinator. The event coordinator is responsible for all aspects of coordinating Graduate School events from, including planning, execution, and evaluating impact. This person works collaboratively with all staff members of the Graduate School and reports to the Assistant Director of Student Success.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and four years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of work experience and education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, hospitality, event planning or relevant field.
  • Experience coordinating events within or supporting a collegiate or academic setting
  • Experience planning and executing large-scale events
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Proactive and has ability to work independently
  • Able to work collaboratively with various groups and individuals
  • Demonstrated proficiency with technology and computer programs (i.e. Microsoft Office software, Zoom)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
