The postdoctoral research associate will conduct cutting-edge research in theoretical and computational chemistry, focusing on the development and application of advanced computational methodologies to study reactive processes in materials and condensed phases.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related field. The degree requirement is necessary to ensure candidates possess the specialized knowledge, skills and abilities that can only be attained through a formal educational program at this level.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong theoretical background in quantum mechanics and/or statistical mechanics.
  • Proven experience running molecular dynamics or quantum chemistry simulations.
  • Proficiency in a programming or scripting language.
  • Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment and using high-performance computing (HPC) clusters.
  • A strong track record of peer-reviewed publications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

This position is eligible for sponsorship. New H-1B petitions for candidates entering the United States will only be considered if institutional funds are available to cover the additional fee imposed by the recent federal proclamation effective September 21, 2025.
