About This Role

The Human Resources Representative supports departmental and organizational effectiveness by serving as a key resource for employees, managers, and leadership. This role advises on personnel procedures, employee development programs, and HR policies, acting as a liaison between Human Resources, management, and staff to address questions, interpret policies, and assist in resolving work-related concerns.

Responsibilities include coordinating recruitment activities such as determining or assisting with selection criteria, reviewing applications, preparing position descriptions, and scheduling candidates with hiring managers and interview panels. The Representative also leads department-level new hire orientation, ensuring employees receive accurate information about policies and procedures and benefits.

This position supports administrative functions as part of the Administration team and manages the preparation and tracking of performance evaluation materials for all staff classifications, ensuring timely completion. In collaboration with campus HR Employee Relations, the Representative provides guidance on employee relations issues, assists in addressing complaints or grievances, and coordinates disciplinary actions or investigations as directed.

The role also assists with the Shadowing & Preceptorship Program by verifying applicant requirements and scheduling experiences with appropriate provider types. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor or Executive Director.

Overall, this position plays an essential role in fostering a supportive, compliant, and well-coordinated workplace environment.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and three years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SHRM-CP
  • Bachelor's degree in a business field such as human resources or management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 programs
