About This Role

The equine internship at the Veterinary Health Center is a 12-month post-DVM clinical program that provides clinical training in equine surgery, internal medicine, theriogenology and field service. The intern provides clinical service under the supervision of senior clinicians. The intern is expected to provide direct patient care, interact with clients and referring veterinarians, participate in the instruction of students, and participate in scholarly activities. Emergency duty is an integral part of the program and will include ambulatory responsibilities along with aiding and participating in equine cases seen as routine cases at VHC. Interns will be evaluated in writing three times a year and the evaluation will be discussed with the intern’s Faculty mentor.

  • DVM or equivalent. Graduate of a College of Veterinary Medicine.
