About This Role

The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a Dispensary Inventory Associate to join our dedicated team to help facilitate exemplary patient care and quality customer service. This position is responsible for providing assistance with daily operations of the VHC Dispensary. A primary mission of the VHC is to provide medical services for teaching, research, and clients within the surrounding area. The Dispensary is critical to providing medications to support this mission.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Two years’ relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years’ experience in human or veterinary pharmacy
  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the State of Kansas, or ability to be licensed in the state of Kansas
  • Medical field training
  • Inventory management experience
  • QuickBooks experience
  • Ability to be responsible, reliable, and to demonstrate initiative and leadership traits so that dispensing pharmaceuticals is accomplished in a professional manner.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment on evaluating situations and making decisions.

Additional licenses / registrations / certifications:

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) within 12 months of appointment.
  • Must be a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy or be able to obtain registration upon beginning employment.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
