About This Role:

The Assistant Director of Admissions under the direction of the Executive Director of Enrollment Management will take the lead role in consultative student services assisting Admissions Representatives while implementing effective programs and events in support of K-State’s Polytechnic Campus’s enrollment management goals.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • Higher education or K-12 experience
  • Admissions experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (writing samples requested)
  • Supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated strengths in helping others and strong social skills (this position requires the ability to meet regularly with prospective students and families and adjust quickly to varying situations and the handling of sensitive, confidential information)
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and a team attitude
  • Demonstrated proficiency in multiple computer programs (such as - CRM, databases, student information systems, Microsoft Office, including knowledge of Excel, and efficient use of e-mail)

Other Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
  • Valid Driver's License upon employment
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.

Salary Range/ Pay Rate:


Please note: the minimum salary for this position is $47,476. Actual salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, internal equity and departmental funding. Salary offers are typically made between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range. The range indicated includes both the typical hiring range and potential future progression.
