Under the Direction of the Associate Director of CAPS, this position will manage the APA-Accredited Doctoral Internship in Health Service Psychology. This position is expected to contribute to or oversee the internship's recruitment/match process, training program, including supervision of direct client hours, development and presentation of seminars, management of rotations, and will ensure all interns meet criteria for completion of the rigorous program. As a CAPS clinical staff member, this position provides counseling, consultation, education outreach, supervision, and urgent-response services to K-State students in support of the office’s mission and division of Student Life. Successful candidates must demonstrate strong clinical skills, administrative acumen, a collaborative approach to well-being, and a commitment to effectively and appropriately engage students and colleagues from different backgrounds.
This position is required to be completed on-site.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree and three to five years of relevant experience.
Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Counseling or Clinical Psychology or equivalent mental health field from an APA-accredited program.
Preferred Qualifications:
Five or more years of work experience in a college or university counseling center.
Experience coordinating pre-doctoral internship training program; preferred experience as Training Director.
5+ years post-licensure experience.
Qualified for psychologist licensure by the State of Kansas Behavioral Sciences Board. Licensure in Kansas to be obtained within a negotiated time frame
