About This Role:

The Department of English invites applications for an Office Specialist II to provide receptionist and office/clerical support for our large academic department.

Our Office Specialist II is responsible for assisting faculty, staff, students, and visitors on a daily basis. Additional duties include assisting the Office Specialist IV with accounting, travel, and purchasing and assisting the Department Head with promotional materials as well as other activities that require attention to detail and customer service.

Worksite Options:

This position is required to be performed on-site. Work is performed on employer premises or designated assignment location.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience communicating effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Successful use of independent judgement, professional etiquette, organizational skills, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Two or more years of experience in general office, clerical, and administrative support work.

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
