About This Role

This PeopleSoft Developer role offers an opportunity for both recent graduates and experienced professionals to build and grow their careers supporting critical ERP systems, including PeopleSoft CS and HCM. As part of a collaborative team within Kansas State University’s Division of Information Technology, you’ll develop solutions, provide day-to-day operational support, and troubleshoot complex issues that impact students, faculty, and staff. You’ll participate in design, testing, and deployment activities, contribute to continuous improvement efforts, and work closely with functional partners and technical teams to deliver reliable, high-quality services. Whether you’re starting your career or bringing 5–10 years of experience, this role offers the chance to build your skills while making a meaningful impact across the K-State community.

Worksite Description

This position is Hybrid and/or Remote eligible. This position is onsite initially with potential to be hybrid in the future. Additional details about hybrid work will be discussed during interviews.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and six years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PeopleSoft development experience
  • Experience with PeopleTools, including Application Designer, Application Engine, PeopleCode, Application Packages, SQR, and SQL
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft PUM images and update processes
  • Experience with PeopleSoft security, Unix environments, or AppStream
  • Knowledge of People Soft features such as Fluid, Work Centers, Activity Guides, Approval Framework (AWE), and Data over DMS)
  • Understanding of Oracle PopleSoft CS and/or HCM functional processes
  • Experience working in a higher education environment
  • Ability to read and interpret data models and system diagrams
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to anticipate risks and contribute to mitigation strategies
