About This Role

The purpose of this position is to provide reliable technical support for ongoing laboratory research by carrying out routine experimental procedures essential for data generation and project completion. Responsibilities include DNA extraction, genotyping, plant growth and maintenance, seed harvesting, and basic lipid analyses, as well as routine laboratory maintenance and support tasks that assist other projects and ensure efficient lab operations.

This position is On-site.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, biology, plant science, or a closely related field
  • Experience with lipid analysis techniques
  • Experience with oilseed crops such as camelina or pennycress
  • Demonstrated experience with basic molecular biology techniques, such as DNA extraction, PCR, and related methods
  • Experience with plant growth, maintenance, and sample collection in a research setting
  • Ability to follow written protocols and standard operating procedures with attention to detail
  • Experience recording and organizing experimental data accurately
  • Familiarity with basic laboratory safety practices
